I started dreaming of building pyramid Greenhouse, around 2006, while working for Growingspaces, the geodesic dome greenhouse company, I even sent them my idea, kinda hoping we'd build one see what its like, Late 2008 I started building my first prototype, (Pictured is two years old now) I used scrap Polycarbonate from Dome Builds, I finely got a good doorway for the 6 footer, still needs refining and will do that on the next one, the Khufu Plus (8' diameter)
Below is The Second Cold frame I did but have since added solexx Glazing this one opens on henges for easy access
Next is the First 6' Khufu Pyramid, doorway has been made much better in the newer models
next warm day I'll see what I can do to make this one better :) and the upcoming 8' Khufu Plus
will seal better and have Solar ceiling fan, to help heat in winter and cool in summer.
Wow, here we are 13 years later since you posted this. I sincerely hope you and yours are doing well. I see your pyramids and a geodesic dome greenhouse in the background in one of your photos. I was looking online for pyramid greenhouses on the internet and came across your blog site. I am planning on building g a pyramid greenhouse for my wife and I very soon as April is coming fast. Nothing big just a 10'X10' footprint for starters. I am also an aficionado of geodesic domes and have built several meager structures over the years and lots of paper models, experimenting and so on. Are you still using pyramids as a greenhouse design? Have you good experiences with them? I am embarking on a build very soon. Hope to hear from you. Thanks for your time and God bless. Best Regards, Rick
