Mid December

The 4 Foot Giza Garden Khafre is still doing ok, we've had temps as low as -8 degree
our 6 foot prototype was way to much in the shade so we lost all but Khale in there, which we just transplanted into the Dome Greenhouse. The Khufu has been sold and 2 of us lifted it up and carried it across the gardens to closer to fence so when I get a trailer we can just pop it on for delivery, I have to do a little moding to it once its set in place to make it more retail worthy...
highly recommending parimiter insulation and a sunny location for extending your season the spot I had her in didn't get sun until noon, not good. I have stopped on the 8 foot Khufu do to lack of funds & weather, will get back to it ASAP

Khufu 8

hi, I am still working on the Eight Footer, its gotten very cold here, I put in Straw and soil, will hopes to plant once I get more Solexx Glazing, new Idea for hinged vent, and solar fan will go into this one, I and also offering on my Web Site http://www.gizagardens.com a Free Khufu 8, well its not really free but that a good catch word, what I am really doing is Building it at cost, just to get every thing down so I can turn them into shippable kits so its good for me and for you, only real catch is getting me there to your place, I would need my expenses covered and a small wage 10$ hours each way, not to bad if you live close by... When I was building the Growdomes for Growing Spaces we did alot of travel and stayed with all kinds of great people some we have remained in touch with, to tell the truth as the years went on with GS it turned out meeting everyone was the best part of the job:)

9 Dregrees

Very Cold out this am, will check the prototypes soon as sun comes up, things are looking good, our Khufu 6' footer stayed warm enough for the plants to survive, new models will however have a wider base for more insulation and we may also do a insulation "Skirt" around the outside

Giza Gardens The Journey

I started dreaming of building pyramid Greenhouse, around 2006, while working for Growingspaces, the geodesic dome greenhouse company, I even sent them my idea, kinda hoping we'd build one see what its like, Late 2008 I started building my first prototype, (Pictured is two years old now) I used scrap Polycarbonate from Dome Builds, I finely got a good doorway for the 6 footer, still needs refining and will do that on the next one, the Khufu Plus (8' diameter)

Below is The Second Cold frame I did but have since added solexx Glazing this one opens on henges for easy access

Next is the First 6' Khufu Pyramid, doorway has been made much better in the newer models
next warm day I'll see what I can do to make this one better :) and the upcoming 8' Khufu Plus
will seal better and have Solar ceiling fan, to help heat in winter and cool in summer.
